moved to tears.
Thu, May 10, 2007 - 8:45 AMit was 7:40. we strolled in casually and took in the perfect ambiance of the fillmore. blacklights cast on chandeliers with a dispersed red glow in front of an entire circumference of velvet drapes. about a minute after we settled in, i saw a very small crowd of about 20 people move toward the stage and encircle someone. i hurried over there. peter and robert of brmc had just begun to play. just the two of them, on the floor, about 20+ people surrounding them. i moved right up front. my heart was exploding. i've never seen a band do that before. just walk out onto the floor and play a private impromptu show for the early arrivals. it was such a gift, an offering. they played 4 songs. acoustic, without any mic, flawless, just standing in the middle of us. just one of us.
they didn't want to cut into the black angel's starting time so after their fourth song (it seemed like they wanted to do more), they bowed gracefully and left the floor. we all just stood there in shock. in gratitude. when i turned to my friends, i did everything in my power to hold back from crying. it was such an unbelievable gift. and while i loved their main act, the real show i had come for, nothing will ever compare with being 3 feet away from peter and robert whlie they looked into our eyes, their hearts flowed with love (they are from san francisco) and their voices harmonized together like angels. it was one of the best music moments of my life.
14 months ago, they took my breath away.
last night, their love brought me to tears. -

Re: moved to tears.
Thu, May 10, 2007 - 6:58 PMI have been going to concerts since I was 13, 1962, James Brown was my 1st concert.
In all those years in all those shows, I have never seen a nicer things done for a crowd
than Peter and Robert playing for those lucky enough to come to a show early.
Then the concert, Black Angel rocked.... great band for the Fillmore.
BRMC was just the best, they played and played....
I am so glad, so lucky to have seen this show, It'll be at the top of my concerts list for all time.
oh yea what a great crowd of people showed up....
